Stanford found a new way to transform graphite into diamonds
Perhaps, everybody knows traditional method of transformation of graphite into diamonds. It is necessary to process the material using high temperature and pressure. But Stanford researchers have recently found a simplified version of such action.
It's enough just to use hydrogen with a platinum base. The new method requires much less time and cheaper equipment as a result can lead to lower prices and growth of production.
Artificially made diamonds can be as a component of various equipment for quantum computing and cutting tool.
In turn, the researchers say they will not stop on it and further will study the special features of graphite.
Note that you can buy graphite at reasonable prices here.
